It’s good to talk.
That’s what Bob Hoskins told us in that mid-90s BT Advert which launched their Family and Friends plan in the same year that Michael Jackson originally released You Are Not Alone.
We have to agree – it is good to talk and you are not alone – there will always be an expert around if you go to the right place with your problem.
Recently, Mark and I decided that enough was enough…
It was time to stop getting ripped off by Sky and finish our package with them. We were fed up of searching for something to watch in the evening, usually ending up with The Chase at 9pm on Challenge (which is available on Freeview, I checked!)
Our internet speed is also pathetic, with wireless working in only one room in the house!
If you’re confused, find someone who can help
Knowing this has needed to be done for a while, I’ve done a lot of research online for alternatives to subscription TV and I have to admit to being completely confuddled (is that a word?)
So the other day, we had the opportunity to have a couple of child- and work-free hours and spent them in Currys/PC World where we were able to talk to a human being; an expert human being in the field we needed advice on.
He talked us through the various options and more importantly, we were able to look at the potential new hardware in real life.
This was so helpful and really valuable to us. We managed to get our phone and broadband reduced significantly by them and we invested in an Amazon Firestick, meaning that we are free of subscription TV for the foreseeable future. With two young children and a business that we continually invest in, this will be a welcome saving for us over the next few months.
And we made that saving because we were able to talk to an expert in an appropriate environment. There is no need to be lost in a labrynth of confusion if you know the right people to talk to.

Real experts look to save you money
It’s a bit like a couple who came into our showroom a couple of months back. They were convinced they needed 100 invitations, but we quickly worked out that actually, when couples and families were taken into account, they only needed 45!
Had they ordered on the internet – which they originally intended to do – they would have had a humongous number of excess invitations and would have wasted a significant amount of money! This is a really simple mistake to make when planning a wedding and so much more common than you might think.
The point is, coming into a space to actually talk to someone about their needs, led to a ton of expert advice and the opportunity to save money on what they would have spent.
We’ve used our 10 years worth of experience in the wedding industry to arrange all of our stationery into 10 different ranges to make it ultra-easy for you to browse and because we know price can be an important factor, each range is sorted into different price brackets to make it as simple as possible for you to find Your Perfect Invite. We also have material swatches and colours galore for you to personalise your stationery and a multitude of different advice sheets for you to take away.

We are committed to always providing an expert environment for you to come into and talk to someone about what can be a confusing and overwhelming world of wedding stationery. We are investing significantly into our online user experience, but we will NEVER become ‘just another online company’.
It’s good to talk.
You Are Not Alone.
And now that we’ve got that settled, all that’s left for me to worry about now is how I’m going to replace Steve McGarrett on Hawaii 5-0 on Sky One. Any suggestions?!
