As wonderful as a summer wedding can be, there is nothing more dramatic and atmospheric as a winter wedding. This couple’s love of all things outdoors and the countryside was a dream come true in producing something bold. Ellie and Joe created their stationery via one of our consultations; and we put together a truly unique and striking black pocket-fold wallet, containing gold stardust invitation cards and wedding information.
The couple had always envisaged a winter Welsh wedding, with an abundance of country and wildlife. The theme was set! Buckland Hall was the perfect backdrop for the bold colours, antlers, pheasant feathers and the most incredible buttonholes set in shotgun cartridges.
These rustic features, and in particular the antlers, were the consistent theme throughout the stationery prior to and on the day. The couple’s initials and wedding date sat at the top of the invitations, cupped by the antlers. The motif that would be carried throughout their wedding!
This design is now be part of the ‘Deer Antlers Wedding Stationery Collection’.

This couple had such a firm idea of their theme; and were delighted that their friends and family were so taken with it too. It was important that they were able to create something unique to their wedding inspiring many compliments for both the invitations and the ‘On the Day’ vision.
We love all things themed and bespoke; and so the wonderful idea of placing stationery in their guests’ rooms for them to take home as mementos, was inspired.
Their wedding really was a true representation of their love story; with a whirlwind romance, two children and an incredible DisneyLand Paris proposal. Just as the fireworks were exploding in the sky, Joe dropped to one knee much to the surprise and joy of Ellie.
However, as lots of couples often find, the planning of a wedding can be a very daunting task. Joe and Ellie’s advice is to be realistic in building the vision that you want and is achievable. They shopped around for different quotes before booking anyone or anything.

However, their ‘couldn’t do without’ was hiring a venue decorator. As they had Buckland Hall for the whole weekend; Ellie and Joe feel that was money well spent.
It was truly delightful to be part of such a striking wedding; we can almost smell the wood burning in the fireplaces, and the see the twinkling of the gold against the winter sky.
